BECKA KEAY

Our dog Stanley the Dalmatian was 3 at the time when we were told by the Vets he had arthritis from his mid back to include his hips, knees and tail.

He was always so lively (too much!) but became depressed, in such pain and crippled just like that. He wouldn't go out and would just sit on the sofa. He had no interest at all in life. It as very sad to see and very concerning.

The vets recommended their separate physiotherapy department. I knew this wouldn't work for him as he wouldn't like somewhere he had never visited before and a stranger pulling him about.

I looked for someone who did McTimoney to visit the house. We as a family had had this treatment which was gentle but very effective and thought someone must do it for animals. I was pleased to find Becka she was about 35 miles away but was willing to visit the house and treat Stan. I knew it had to be a lady for him because of his temperament. From the first meeting he loved it and was so relaxed. She visited us several times initially never pressurising more treatments always emailing after with what she had done and was the one who made lots of suggestions to help him. Starting with an old chair he loved. It was not helping his back and she could see this more than we could, so we moved it out. All the things she suggested helped. Its all about the animal not her own profit or greed.

She also suggested looking into Cartrophen which is an Injection as the Vet hadn't mentioned anything other than Physiotherapy. I enquired at the Vets and he had the injections which along with Becka's treatments have made him the dog he was before. He has regular top ups with both Becka and the injection and he is able now to go on long walks and enjoy life as he did before. (Very lively again! Exhausting!)

 

I would highly recommend Becka. She is kind, helpful, approachable, adaptable for appointments and reasonably priced. A truly lovely person. Stanley would not be like he is today if it wasn't for her.
